Up Close And Personal: USU vs. UNLV Game Day!!!

Oright, oright, oriiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!

What's up everyone?! Hope you all are having a marvellous week!

Who out there loves watching football?! I know I do! This past weekend I had the life-changing opportunity to watch our very own Aggie football team right the ON the sideline. I won't lie, standing on the field with a bunch of big dudes was a little bit intimidating. But hey! The experience was soooo unreal and I couldn't have been any more stoked to be there. I was also very lucky to able to catch my first time on Merlin Olsen Field on film! Check it out!

The final score of the game was 34-20 with another W for USU! Woooot, wooooot!
This particular game was a special one because it was Utah State's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game. From the players on the field to the fans in the stands, splashes of pink were found in support of breast cancer awareness. If it's one place that's excellent at bringing the community together for a cause it's Utah State. No matter what the cause is, I feel like Utah State knows how to bring the Aggie and Logan community together in order to raise awareness as well as form a common bond between everyone.
Aggies who fight together, stay together.

On that note, folks, stay tuned for my next post! In the mean time enjoy these photos from the game! GO AGGIES!!!!

Pumpkin Walk

It was time.
Time for North Logan's Annual PUMPKIN WALK!

I was so excited to go again this year. Last year, I went and had a blast! I could not believe that people were actually making scenes out of pumpkins! This year, was even better. I was once again, completely blown away at all the wonderful pumpkins scenes. I about died when I saw everything Disney. This is honestly one of my new favorite things to do around Halloween time and it is honestly the best ever.

The Pumpkin Walk is a very family friendly environment, obviously, which makes this a great place during the time of Halloween and October festivities to just have a great time with your family. They have organizations, schools, and people from all over Cache Valley create a little scene, whatever they want it to be, and make that scene using pumpkins as their people. I just can't help but share tons of pictures to show just how cool it was!

The entrance to the Pumpkin Walk.

A very Hungry Caterpillar, I mean Butterfly!
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. HA Lego Movie.
Who knew that Morgan Freeman was a pumpkin?!?

Do you want to build a Snowman??
Olaf likes warm hugs. And so do we!
Cutest pumpkin, ever!
We love Mickey and Minnie!

Enough for me to take a Selfie!

I'm your Vitameatavegamin girl! This pumpkin was absolutely FANTASTIC! And yes, I LOVE LUCY!

Don't worry Snow White, your Prince has come! Ha

Now that, is an awesome pumpkin.

IT'S ALIVE!

Remembering Robin Williams. One of my favorite pieces of the night.
We just had so much fun going through and seeing all of the cute pumpkins and just enjoying every last moment. This is just a great fall activity, free I might add, that everyone always enjoys. They only do it a few days in October, and although it can be busy at times, it is still wonderful seeing all of the awesome pumpkins on display!

Oh, you know, just fawning over Captain America. No Big Deal.

Nightmare on 13th!!!

I'm not one to get scared easily...unless I watch a scary movie, visit a haunted house, get surprised around corners, get stuck in the dark, hear something from the shadows, or see a wild animal. Besides that, I'm the man! However, I will say I wasn't the MAN this weekend as I nearly had to change my shorts after a visit to Nightmare on 13th in Salt Lake City (Just an hour's drive from NICE, SAFE Logan). If you want to relive all of your favorite scary movies (Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Texas Chainsaw)...this place is your JAM! But before you go, let me inspire you further. Here are my TOP 3 REASONS TO LOVE HAUNTED HOUSES:
1. As long as you're faster than your friends you'll never get cornered
2. It's the only time you can latch on to a girl's arm like a racoon and have it be socially acceptable
3. You can let out high pitched screams shattering every window in the house, and you still get to keep your man card.

Ditching the Dorms & Moving to the Canyon

"What did you do for Fall Break?!"
Well, when you have no car and your family lives 6 1/2 hours away, then you are basically stuck at college. Forever. It's a good thing I live in this magical place.
I was so lucky to spend my break with the best people. S/O to Ryan Taylor for being so freaking talented and taking some AMAZING photos of our adventure!! Everyone should follow him on insta and like all his pics because they are that good.

*Not pictured: the giant prickly stickers covering my entire back. *

Ah young love...haha
If nothing else, move to Logan for this canyon.
WOWOWOWWOWOW I have found a total babe in the mountains. Braxton is looking fierce!
You can't tell, but this water was easily -2349082348203 degrees. My feet were numb the whole time, but freezing water aint got nothing on us!

Kimber the woodland elf in her natural habitat.
OK can we just take a moment and appreciate how BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY my roommate is?! Dang Kimber Young! You little artsy hottie!
I have found my happy place, and I never want to leave.
Braxton is one of thee most rad guys I know! He genuinely cares about everyone and is an awesome photographer and friend! Plus, he has a giant blow up pool with cup-holders in his dorm, so if that doesn't scream, "I am so cool!" then I don't know what does.

Meet the wild BFK (AKA Brenna from Kansas). Brenna is the dankest roommate ever! She is the most talented person on this entire planet, she's super smart, hilarious, and has the voice of a goddess!

Put down that terrible Econ homework and run to the woods!
Sometimes you need to relax. You deserve a break.

If you notice that I have been missing, or I'm not in class, you know where to find me.

FOR SALE: DAVIS HALL CONTRACT. Peace out dorm life I'm moving to a cave in this canyon!

This IS Halloween!

HALLOWEEN IS UPON US!!

This is absolutely one of my most favorite times of the year! There is just something about all the leaves changing color and the fact that I get tons of candy and I get to dress up! There are so  many wonderful things about fall that I just can't seem to get enough!

This past week has been a true joy and I cannot wait for more to come!

Ambassador Halloween Party
This year, the Transfer Ambassadors were in charge again for the annual Halloween Party. This years theme was Ghost Town! Lots of people dressed up in their fabulous cowboy outfits, and some (Leland) graced us with their glorious presence of being a horse. Top notch I tell you, TOP NOTCH. These guys are so great and put on an amazing party filled with snacks, games, and an improv show. I am so lucky to work with such incredible people who work so hard and help each other to make Ambassadors GREAT!
[We had a pumpkin carving contest (in ten minutes we say) and pulled out a freaken awesome hamburger pumpkin in 6 minutes. Now that is teamwork. Not to mention, in the bottom corner, how seriously fantastic that looks? We know. Now you want to make your own hamburger pumpkin!

Transfer Ambassador Greatness!! (Melissa, Camrie, Ale, Stefan, Jessie, Ana, Mason, Leland, Myself, JR, Tanner, & Sub-Transfer- My husband Trevor and our awesome pumpkin!)

Date Night
After the wonderful Ambassador Halloween Party (see below), my husband and I decided that it would be the perfect time to decorate our own pumpkins (punkins) as part of the fall festivities. Of course, you can't decorate pumpkins without first getting them first. we got ours from macey's, but you can certainly find pumpkins all over the place.
Brilliant.
Have I told you how much I love fall? Well...
If I haven't, this explains it all. I was so excited for PUMPKINS!
After I found my pumpkin,
(Over 30 pounds I might add!)
I was ready to get started!!

This year, my husband and I decided to do something a little different. Normally, back when I wasn't married, I would go home and carve pumpkins with my family. Obviously things change and I was excited for new traditions in my new household! Although I LOVE carving pumpkins, I wanted to paint mine this year instead of carve it.

There are several necessities before such a huge task can be taken on. I highly suggest the following:

1. <Candy Corn>.
Ah, the candy of the year. I don't know why, but I absolutely love this stuff. And let's be real here, it's not Halloween until you see these orangey, yellow goodness in the bags.

2. A hardcore <Candy Apple>.
If you prefer not to spend a ton of money to purchase such a treat, there are definitely a lot simpler ways to make caramel apples. This year, we got the store bought caramel that you just wrap around the apple. Then we added chocolate chips to add even more wonderful flavor. Get creative, that's what it's all about.

3. <MOVIE>
There is always a need for a Halloween movie. We went to the Library to try and watch Hocus Pocus (a Halloween CLASSIC) but unfortunately, the waiting list was like 17 people long. And sadly, we wanted to watch a Halloween movie- NOW. And well, you just can't go wrong with Harry Potter. {Magic} is definitely included in these fabulous films, and the 6th one seemed highly appropriate. (Also because we had been doing a marathon and were on the 6th one). Unfortunately, the quality of our TV is not sublime, but we do enjoy the fact of having one, so it will do for now:)
4.<MUSIC>
If you choose not to watch a movie, I always highly suggest a list of music to play. If you have Spotify, know of it, or Pandora, then a Halloween playlist is where it is at! My favorite songs are always:
1. Thriller by Michael Jackson (I mean COME ON!)
2. The Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett
3. Ghostbusters by Ray Parker, Jr.
4. The Purple People Eater by Sheb Wooley
5. This is Halloween by Disney (Nightmare Before Christmas)
Once you are all settled in, well, then it is time for some awesome pumpkin happenings! I definitely was quite content with my candy and Harry Potter watching.
The concept was quite simple, but hey, I had fun with it! And now, both mine and my husbands pumpkins reside outside our humble abode!

The BEFORE
The AFTER!!!

I know it may not seem like much, but I loved how my pumpkin turned out! Ha totally brings out my true Disney spirit!

Regardless of how you create your pumpkin, and share your Halloween spirit, I hope that everyone has a wicked time!!
TRICK-OR-TREAT!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy October

Homecoming week was so sick! On Tuesday we got to paint Aggie Boulevard! These guys did so good! So many talented people!
Fun Fact: I LOVE PAINTING! It's one of my favorite things ever!  Art is one of my passions. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time for it right now, so any opportunity I get to paint makes me so stoked! In a perfect world art supplies would not cost more than my college tuition, and completing one painting would not take an entire semester. So that is on the back burner as of right now, but maybe sometime soon I can paint something and show you guys!

"When Bae asks if you want to be a True Aggie."
You guys have no idea the endless amounts of captions I thought of for this picture. It's just too perfect.

Logan has some sick things to do for Halloween. I would reccommend going to 10th Street Scarehouse. It is the bomb. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be that great, but it surpassed my expecatitions by far! It's a perfect thing to do with your friends or for date night!
 *Cue Nacho Libre Voice*
Sometimes we like to dress up classy, dance on roofs, and pretend like we are in Phantom of the Opera. It's for fun.
The masquerade dance was so epic! The DJ did an awesome job, and the live band just added to the overall elegance of the night! These kids have some sweet dance moves. I bet you are jealous that you didn't get to spend your night with them. I would be if I were you.

Remember how I told you I like to paint? Well here is proof of that. I went a little crazy with my makeup for the masquerade dance. Go big or go home right?!
