Homecoming OBSESSION!

This week was fantastic. I love when homecoming comes around and all the fun things that we get to do! Being an Ambassador has given me so many opportunities and this week was full of them!

I LOVE BEING AN AGGIE!!!

There is so much Aggie pride all over, not just the school, but all over LOGAN/CACHE VALLEY. This is such a great place to be.

This week has been amazing. Events shall be listed:

Tuesday: Street Painting

SO many talented people!
Street painting is on Aggie Boulevard and you can see all the clubs and organizations making their mark in white and blue sharing their love for Utah State. This is a great homecoming tradition and it is so much fun to see what everyone comes up with and how they portray their Aggie Pride!

How did you share YOUR Aggie pride this week???

Ambassadors. We know how to work it!
The finished project!

Guys. This was so much fun! I was so grateful to work with so many wonderful people and just have fun representing Ambassadors!

Wednesday: Banner Painting for Parade

This was super fun as well. I was so excited to be in the parade this year because I had a conflict last year. I loved being a part of creating this years banner!

Saturday: HOMECOMING DAY! (Parade and Football Game)

Just your fellow Aggie Ambassadors enjoying the Parade!

Being in the Homecoming parade as so much fun! We screamed, shouted, and sang out little hearts out while handing out candy and pompoms to all the little children. Ha I think that parades are absolutely wonderful and it is so great to see how many people showed up to watch and participate. Let's be real. I felt super cool even though I was probably the least important person there, but I loved representing USU and having the time of my life waving to people.

Finally we reach our wonderful football games. Today for Homecoming we played Air Force. We all know how these goes, but it is always a blast when we get to cheer and sing the Scotsman!
The Clowards and the Brimleys enjoying another awesome Aggie football game!

UTAH STATE VS AIRFORCE

UTAH STATE BEATS AIRFORCE 34-16!!!

Awesome fact of the night: Official attendance recorded at Romney Stadium is 24,037 people. WAY TO SHOW YOUR AGGIE PRIDE!!!!
(Not to mention our first touchdown within 14 seconds. GO AGGIES!)

Football and Frightmares for FREE Yo!

This last week was probably my favorite one yet! First off S/O to our INCREDIBLE football team!! Way to beat BYU on their home field! My friends and I went to the game and it was the best football experience I have ever had! The energy in the student section was unbelievable! It was radiating with school pride! I had never been more proud to scream the Scottsman in my USU sweatshirt! I LOVED every minute of it!

Just a typical car jam sesh on our way to Provo!!

Frightmares
We also got to go to Frightmares at Lagoon, and the best part was that it was totally FREE! Now I'm not sure about you, but free is easily the best word in college. Not only did we get free tickets, but we also got free dinner! Some of our friends work for Vivint, so they hooked us up.   GO VIVINT!! YOU'RE THE REAL MVP!! P.S. it was my very first time at Lagoon. Total success.
Siera is finally tall enough to ride these rides! YAYA!

Scavenger Hunt

We also had the most epic scavenger hunt Monday night with all the ladies in Davis Hall! We ran around campus taking pictures with strangers, and rolling down old main, and being complete freaks. It was so rad! I love these girls!

 Weekend in Highland

I became a Squires this week! So glad I got to spend the weekend staying with Siera's cute family!   I also took their family pictures, which was hilarious because I had no idea what I was doing! Shocker I may live in Utah, but I'm no white girl photographer, that's for sure! Nevertheless I enjoyed crashing their fam pics.

I saved the best picture for last obviously. We found this homemade Ariana Grande cut out in Erica's little sis's room. Erica has been replaced at home by a cardboard box. Ouch.
Well I hope you all have a fantastic week!
 GO AGGIES!

The Mr. USU Experience

I never thought myself to be much of a pageant goer, let alone a pageant participant. I've had the chance to be involved in some pretty incredible things as an Aggie, but last night I may have reached an all time high. Over the past few weeks I've had the chance to work with these fine gentleman as a part of the legendary Mr. USU Pageant. An individual is selected to represent each college and larger organization on campus, and those chosen few are asked to show their stuff and (when needed) SHAKE their stuff in honor of the group they represent. Who would have known that so much talent, grace, charm, and rugged good looks could come from an 11-man team. Well, now Utah State knows. I love every single one of these guys, and learned so much from them: How to look good in a loin cloth, how to celebrate the Lion King and Katy Perry in one big festive dance, and how to build each other up despite our nerves and fears of the big stage. You guys will always be my brothers. Thanks for adding another chapter to my book: "Why Utah State is the Greatest Place on Earth". You 10 noblemen are living proof of this university's splendor and legend. Love you guys...and thank you.

MR. USU

HAPPY HOMECOMING WEEK!!!!

This has got to be my favorite week of the entire year. The traditions aspect of USU is definitely something that I adore about this school. I love the high energy and school spirit that exudes all around campus as everyone participates in homecoming week and celebrate being an Aggie!

The first event on this week's homecoming schedule was the Mr. USU pageant! Male representatives from the universities colleges and organizations compete for the title of Mr. USU for the school year. The pageant consisted of an opening sequence, introductions, the talent portion and evening wear/question and answer portion. Take a look at these pics and quick vid on my Snapchat story from the show:

You may have noticed that my fellow Blue Crew member, Brandon Woodward, is in some of these pictures and videos. He did an absolute amazing job in this pageant as did the rest of the contestants for Mr. USU. ALSO, a shout out to our fellow USU Ambassadors Miles Brooks and Luis Armenta for reppin it out there as well!! You all did werk! The night was filled with laughs, great entertainment and discovering some talents that you didn't know your friends had. Like...really, Brandon? Who knew you could sing like that?! Stunning looks, a charming personality AND the voice of angel...I think you've instantly won the heart of every girl on campus tonight :) Kudos to all the Mr. USU contestants and thank you all for an entertaining and enjoyable night! Stay tuned, folks, for more posts on homecoming week and #AGGIELIFE. Peace!

Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie!

USU FOR THE WIN!!!!!

UTAH STATE HEY AGGIES ALL THE WAY! GO AGGIES, GO AGGIES, HEY HEY HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10.3.2014
USU vs BYU game

Now, I am going to say this. I have not been able to go to a USU football game so far this year because I have been scheduled to work every single time that we have had a home game.

[BUT]
Yesterday, was different.

I am originally from Pleasant Grove, UT and my family still lives there. Well, both of my parents and my oldest brother have all gone/still go to BYU. After Snow College, I have been the only one to have gone somewhere different. Which has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I LOVE UTAH STATE!

SO. The story goes like this. My dad called me and asked if we (hubby and I) would like to come down to go to the USU vs BYU game. There was no way I could turn that down. We had waited two weeks for this, and the day finally came.

Snapchatting the day away!
The drive down was definitely not a pleasant one. But three and a half hours later, after slowing down for two crashes and then making it through rush hour traffic and people going home and trying to get to this game. MAN. We finally made it. We definitely weren't very sure of the outcome. The last time we had won a game against BYU was back in 1978.. But, we were still ready to scream and yell as loud as we could. I mean, we are Aggies after all. We are known for being very loud as we cheer for our team. The game started at 8:oo pm. Which was such a late game in general, but of course with all of our screaming, I was the most awake I had been all day long!

Closest we would be to the field all night.

Look closely, you'll see fellow Aggies!

Having my family there, even though half of them were BYU fans, was still great. We thought that the whole game was going to be a blowout, so I was afraid that we were going to be the ones getting all the yelling in our faces. I was prepared for this though. Nothing was going to stop me from cheering for the Aggies!
Hubby & I and our Aggie Swag!
After the first touchdown BYU made after less than 2 minutes, then we thought, here we go. This is beginning. And then we scored. And we thought, at least this is going to give us something! And then BYU scored again. But we kept with them and soon, we were in the lead! It was so great, and even though my family and I were not all on the same team, it was still great to enjoy something, even as simple as a football game, to have a wonderful time! I am so glad we went and
that I was there cheering on Utah State University!

My voice was shot, but the happiness on my face never left. We were cheering and screaming the whole time and even though weren't sitting by many other Aggies, every time the band and the student section would strike up the fight song and the Scotsman, we were there, standing up, cheering and singing as loud as we possibly could. It didn't matter where we were, we had that Aggie pride and we weren't afraid to show it! I was so happy and just so proud to be an AGGIE!
FINAL SCORE:
USU-35 BYU-20
GO AGGIES!
